Antique set of letterpress wood type characters. Wonderful very old wooden printing characters. We think, that these letters have been made around 1900 or even before. We have counted 56 pieces, we hope, that we did not make any mistake on counting, but you will see, what you get on the close-up photos. Some of the characters have metal (probably lead) on the top, the bottom is also for these letters wood. A very nice set which is a gain for every collection. Each character measures 49 mm: 1.93 inch. We have removed some dust, but did no full cleaning. The characters were stored up to now in drawers, this is a gorgeous and exceptionnel set of characters. Please be sure, that a carefull packaging will be done for the characters, so nothing will hurt the characters on transport.
