Heidelberg KSBA Press Internal Indust Heat Sys Infra Red Electric Heater B3-752
This is a Good+ Condition Heidelberg KSBA 18″ x 23″ Cylinder Letterpress Internal Industrial Heat Systems of Glendale made for Heidelberg, California, Infra Red Electric Drying Heater, Model B3-752. I tested it before removing it from my press, and it still puts out 220 Volts, 4 Amps, 750 volts of electric heat, making the heating coil glow bright red and helping to dry ink from printing as the printed sheet travels upside down inside the press above less than an inch above the heater frame. Burned oil and powder on the frame testifies to the high heat it generates. I don’t know if this can be mounted inside or outside the KORD offset press, but as both are made from the same frame as the KSBA, it may. You may need an extended mounting bracket on the operator’s side of the press, but it is basically just a 5/8 diameter tube that is about 5 or so inches long with a correspondingly long threaded mounting bolt. To remove the side cover above the operating handle and mount this takes a skilled mechanic about 4 hours to disassemble and about the same to reassemble. My mechanic in Cerritos, California, Mark Miller, may be able to answer any questions about mounting it as he was the one that removed it as part of an extended press repair he did for me this year. International First Class is the least expensive, but also is the least dependable. In contrast, I have been able to insure First Class Parcels to both Argentina and Switzerland. I do not personally insure anything. Add a map to your own listings.
